Talk Title:

scRNAseq bone marror atlas and scEntropy R package for exploring myeloid plasticity

Bio:

Charles Dussiau studied Pharmacy at the University of Tours, France, followed by a four-year residency in Medical Biology with a specialization in Hematology at Paris hospitals. He subsequently worked as clinical biologist at Cochin Hospital and completed a PhD at the Cochin Institute, where he investigated hematopoietic and progenitor cells in myelodysplastic neoplasms. He later joined Bordeaux Hospital as a clinical biologist focusing on myeloproliferative neoplasms.

Since November 2022, Charles has been a postdoctoral scientist jointly affiliated with the laboratories of Judith Zaugg at EMBL and Michael Milsom at DKFZ. His current research focuses on ageing of the hematopoietic system and the development of computational tools to study plasticity in myeloid malignancies.

Emilija Marinkovic—Roers Group (UKHD)

Talk Title:

Understanding MDS of germline DDX41 mutant patients: Modelling the disease in vitro and in mice

Emilija Marinkovic removebg preview

Bio:

Emilija Marinkovic is a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Axel Roers at the Institute of Immunology, University Hospital Heidelberg. She received her Master’s degree in Biochemistry and her PhD in Immunology from the University of Belgrade, where her doctoral research focused on immune modulation, mucosal immune responses, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Emilija has extensive research experience spanning immunology, virology, and translational biomedical science. Prior joining Heidelberg, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Sera „Torlak“ in Belgrade, followed by a postdoctoral appointment in Dresden. Since 2022, she has been contributing to immunological research at University Hospital Heidelberg.

Her technical expertise includes different mouse models, flow cytometry, immunoassays, microscopy and 10X Genomics scRNA-seq. Her current research interest centers on immune microenvironment in tumors with special focus on T cell exhaustion.
