On March 27, 2026, the CRC1709 INF project introduced a new in-person workshop format for Data Management Officers, complementing the existing online meetings. The new format aims to foster closer interaction, facilitate exchange of experiences, and strengthen collaboration across projects.
Each workshop invites five to six Data Management Officers, who participate on a rotating basis. This smaller, in-person setting is designed to encourage open discussion, networking, and knowledge sharing among participants from different CRC1709 projects.
During the first workshop, participants introduced their projects and discussed key data-related topics, including data integration, data warehousing, technical requirements, expectations within the INF project, and opportunities for collaboration.
Agenda of the first workshop included:
- Welcome & introductions by Carsten Müller-Tidow (Speaker) & Martin Dugas (PI, INF)
- Data Management Officer presentations (Christian Rohde, Johanna Franz, Nadine Volk, Maria Puschhof)
- Coffee break and networking
- Discussion of key data topics, including
- Data integration
- Data warehouse
- Technical requirements
- Expectations within the INF project
- Collaboration opportunities
- Open discussion
The new workshop format was well received and will continue to be organized on a monthly basis, allowing all Data Management Officers to participate over time. This initiative represents another step toward strengthening collaboration and harmonizing data management practices across CRC1709.
