Early Career Researcher Board Elected at CRC1709 Retreat

During the recent CRC1709 retreat, we were pleased to elect the new Early Career Researcher (ECR) Board, representing junior principal investigators, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students across the CRC community.

The ECR Board plays a crucial role in strengthening communication, fostering collaboration, and supporting the professional development of early career researchers within CRC1709.

The newly elected members are:

  • Maike Janssen—Junior PI Representative
  • Franziska Blaeschke—Junior PI
  • Simone Feurstein—Junior PI
  • Maria Puschhof—Postdoc Representative
  • Alexander Wahl—PhD Student Representative
  • Daria Kocherhina—PhD Student Board Member
  • Keyi Ao—PhD Student Board Member
  • Elif Ceren Saf—PhD Student Board Member

The ECR Board will contribute to CRC1709 through a variety of activities, including representation, community building, mentoring initiatives, and supporting networking and scientific exchange.

Early Career Researcher Board

Specifically, the board will:

  • Represent early career researchers in CRC governance and decision-making
  • Strengthen communication between early career researchers and leadership
  • Support mentoring, networking, and community-building initiatives
  • Support organizing social events
  • Provide feedback and contribute to structural improvements within CRC1709
